A Guide to Tallus Ridge Parks

Having your own yard and your own grass is nice, but sometimes it’s also nice to just head to a local park and enjoy the community green space.

Tallus Ridge made sure that when the neighborhood was designed, there would still be green space and parks for residents to enjoy, along with the natural background and hiking trails that the Tallus Ridge area is known for.

There are five parks in the Tallus Ridge area for you to make use of. Here they are in no particular order (because they’re all amazing!).

Tallus Park has great playground equipment for the kids to climb all over, as well as benches for parents to sit and relax while those kids burn off some energy. It’s located at Paramount Drive and Crown Crest Drive.

Paramount Park is a lovely green space located on Paramount Drive. It’s a great spot to take your dog while out for a walk or just enjoy the quiet.

Stone Grove Park has a small playground and lush grass for the kids to play and is located at the corner of Stone Grove Crescent and Cobblestone Drive.

Right across the road is Cobblestone Park, a mostly undisturbed section of land which has a pathway through the trees and links Cobblestone Drive and Tallus Ridge Drive.

Boulder Park is located at the cul-de-sac at the end of Stone Grove Crescent. Follow the path and you’ll be treated to some amazing views of the Okanagan Valley.

If you’re up for venturing outside the neighbourhood, why not explore other West Kelowna parks? The City is hosting a scavenger hunt-type event called Peruse the Parks, where residents hunt for symbols hidden around local green space (including Tallus parks).

You can download the checklist here. Once you’ve found everything on the list, you can submit it to be entered into the prize draws. Deadline is May 28.
