Kettle Valley’s History: Our First Townhomes Are Built

Kettle Valley’s History: Our First Townhomes Are BuiltPosted: Jun 29, 2016When the Village of Kettle Valley was first conceived, the designer and developer struck out to build a traditional town, complete with a Village Centre and different housing types. Nearly 10 years after our official ribbon cutting, we completed our first townhome development within the community.

Phase I of Winslow Park Mews was registered on December 29, 2004, officially launching the first phase of the 32 townhome unit development along Providence Avenue. In January 2005, the first lucky homeowner took possession of their new home.

In keeping with the aesthetic of the homes in Kettle Valley’s core, the new townhomes were Victorian in style with covered front porches, gabled roofs, and welcoming front doors. The facades of the homes are bright and colourful, further adding to the neighbourhood’s curb appeal and picturesque streetscapes.

Exterior Colours

The exterior colours of homes at Winslow Park Mews were taken from Benjamin Moore’s Historical Color Collection.

Yorkshire Tan (HC-23
Eucalyptus (red) (HC-65)
Sussex Green (HC-109)

Winslow Park Mews was carefully placed in the heart of Kettle Valley, just steps from Quilchena Park and the Village Centre, giving the residents unparalleled access to community amenities. The design also included a carriage lane, keeping garages hidden and offering a quiet ‘street’ for kids to play and learn to ride bicycles.

Priced from $199,000, the homes at Kettle Valley’s first townhome development 3-bedroom  and 3-bedroom + den floorplans. Like all of the homes in our community, the homes boasted the latest in interior finishings and amenities, with an old-world charm that lends itself to a sense of neighbourly community.

Since Winslow Park Mews was constructed over 10 years ago, Kettle Valley has welcomed three more multi-family townhome projects; Gardena Townhomes, Amberhill Townhomes, and Seasons at Kettle Valley.

Another townhome development will soon be coming to Kettle Valley. Built along the hillside above our iconic community, this new townhome development will be surrounded by wildlife corridors, allowing nature to thrive right outside your door. Many of these new townhouses will also benefit from sweeping panoramic views of Kelowna and Okanagan Lake!

These higher-density home sites are the perfect place for young families to begin their lives in Kettle Valley, or for long-time residents to downsize without leaving their neighbourhood, making our Upper Mission community the perfect place to call home for life.
